Ask your question in English: we reply in English, by email, and never by phone.
When you go matters more than where
The destinations in our catalogue and their sites, ranked by real seasonality — what passes through, and when. We sell no trips and no kit, and take no commission: that is why we can tell you not to go.
Got a specific question? Write it at the bottom of the page: the Scubalia team answers by email, on your case. Never a phone call.
What Scubalia does for you
Destination comparison by season
Destinations and their sites, ranked by what you actually stand a chance of meeting, to the month — not by general weather.
- Going at the right time for what you want to see
- Comparing without anyone selling you anything
- Finding destinations you would not have thought of
Step-by-step trip planner
Flight, accommodation, dive centre, activities: every step is priced so the total is known before you commit. Estimates are indicative and not contractual.
- The real budget before you book, not after
- A trip plan you can come back to with a clear head
- No commission: you book wherever you like
Digital dive logbook
Depth, duration, site, conditions, photos. Up to 200 dives on the Standard plan, with no cap on the number of dives above that. Photos are compressed and storage depends on the plan.
- Ten years of dives that no longer get lost
- A history that backs up your experience abroad
- Your photos attached to the dive
Scuby, the diving assistant
Answers on seasons, required levels, logistics and packing lists.
- An answer straight away, at any hour
- Packing lists you stop forgetting
Diver community
Exchanges between divers, sharing of sightings.
- Conversations with divers who have been there, not brochures
- Recent sightings, not memories from 2015
Do you recognise yourself in one of these situations?
A diver planning a trip hits the same wall every time: everyone has an opinion, and almost nobody is neutral. The advice comes from the people selling the trip. Seasonality — which species, which month, what visibility — is scattered across forums that contradict each other. And the real budget only appears at the end, once you are committed.
Now that you can see what it does: Scubalia opens at scubalia.com/en.
A question right now? The Scubalia assistant answers it right here.
Why Scubalia rather than something else
- 01Complete neutrality: no commission, no booking partnership. Every other source of advice sells the trip — we have no interest in sending you one place rather than another, and that is the one thing they cannot copy.
- 02Advice crossed with YOUR profile: level, dates, budget, what you want to see. A seasonality guide tells you when to go; Scubalia tells you where to go, you.
- 03The full budget before committing: flight, accommodation, dive centre, activities, estimated step by step.
- 04The dive logbook and the trip plan in one place — what you have done informs what you should do next.
- 05Scuby, the assistant that answers on seasons, required levels and packing lists.

The questions you are asking yourself
Why pay when the forums are free?
Because the forums give you twenty contradictory opinions, half of them ten years old. Scubalia gives you seasonality to the month and the full budget. At €19 to prepare a €2,000 trip, price is not really the question.
A dive travel agency will advise me just as well.
An agency will advise you from what it sells. That is legitimate, but it is not neutral. We sell nothing and earn no commission: it is our only model, and it is why we can tell you not to go.
I already have a dive logbook app.
Keep it if it suits you. Scubalia is not primarily a logbook: it is advice on where and when to go. The logbook is there because what you have dived informs what you should dive next.
Your budget estimates will be wrong.
They are indicative and announced as such — flight prices move every day. Their point is to give you the full order of magnitude before you commit, instead of discovering it one step at a time.
Do you sell trips?
No, and that is deliberate. We sell nothing and earn no commission. You book directly, wherever you like.
Are the cost estimates guaranteed?
No. They are indicative and not contractual: they exist so you know the order of magnitude of the full budget before committing.
Can I import my old dives?
The logbook accepts imports; check which formats your current app can export before you migrate.
If I stop, do I get my data back?
Yes, export your data at any time.
Where is our data hosted?
In France, in the European Union, under the GDPR. The rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection are exercised in writing. We sell no data.
Will my price increase, or stay stable, when Scubalia adds features?
Not during your subscription: your price stays stable, the one you signed up for, for the whole current period, whatever new features are added in the meantime. If Scubalia changes its prices, the new price is announced by email to all subscribers at the same time, at least 30 days before it applies; it only covers periods starting from that date, never a period already under way, and you remain free not to renew.
Do you run a club, or teach divers?
The member register, qualification tracking and equipment inventory, in a shared tool that does not leave with the former secretary's spreadsheet.
